Defibrillator purchased for local school
VolkerGround Engineering, VolkerMarine Services and VolkerSite Services have come together to purchase a defibrillator for a local school, Trumacar Nursery and Community Primary School.
The team presented the school with the defibrillator this week at their Morecambe office, where the team hosted two teachers and six children, providing them with lunch and speaking with them about the work they do. Afterwards, the team escorted the teachers and children on a walk around the Morecambe facility.
It was a great day for all involved and one of the children even got to surprise his Dad in work, Gareth Wade, a welder for VolkerMarine Services.
Steve Slacik, plant and yard manager, Tony Price, marine delivery manager and Darren Copsey, yard foreman are pictured below handing over the defibrillator.
