Modular temporary accommodation units
Our modular hire fleet is based around a 6.055m x 2.435m module. They have been tested for energy efficiency and rated EPC B* and have a fire resistance of 30m.
Utilising their quick and easy locking system means that cabins can be installed quickly and efficiently on site. The CTX units, which can be installed by either crane or hiab wagon, can be added to at any time (with a capability of stacking three high) to adapt to changing site conditions.
In addition to the standard units, the CTX system also offers additional features such as:
- Floor to ceiling glazing
- Roof terraces
- External staircases
- Bespoke wrapping
- Containers
- Stand-alone facilities

Jackleg cabins at Ulverston WwTW
Jackleg cabins
VolkerSite Services own a fleet of jackleg units, available in either 10.36m x 3.5m or 7.3m x 3.5m. The jackleg units are available as office and facilities units, as well as operatives’ mess, toilet and drying room units. All units can be installed by crane or hiab wagon, depending on sites access.

Semi-permanent modular buildings
VolkerSite Services also offer solutions for semi-permanent modular buildings, with a wide range of applications from commercial buildings and construction offices to educational workplaces.
Modular buildings are constructed off-site in controlled factories, utilising stringent production management systems, before being delivered to site. VolkerSite Services can source semi-permanent accommodation and project manage the building control, planning and design, including full fit-out.
