The joint venture was recently awarded the ‘Inspiring Change in the Workplace’ Project Award for their current work on behalf of Highways England, carrying out major concrete repair and waterproofing work on the M5 Oldbury Viaduct.

The Inspiring Change Awards, now in their fourth year, highlight and reward organisations within the construction and infrastructure sector that have created a more inclusive culture. The award presented to the M5 Oldbury Viaduct team, reflects a number of initiatives undertaken by the project, to promote health and wellbeing in the workplace.

The M5 Oldbury Viaduct project has already received a number of accolades, including two Highways England Awards earlier this year and two Construction News Talent Awards in November of last year.

Chris Evans, managing director of VolkerFitzpatrick’s Civils division, said: “The bmv team continuously works to ensure a positive working culture both on-site and in our offices and it is great to see this being recognised with this highly sought-after award. Congratulations to the bmv team on this excellent achievement.”

The award was presented at No 11 Cavendish Square, London on Tuesday 21 May.
