VBA awarded Project and Programme Delivery Award at the Project Excellence Awards
VBA, a joint venture between VolkerStevin, Boskalis Westminster and SNC-Lavalin’s Atkins business, exhibited at Flood and Coast 2019, where the Project Excellence Awards were held.
Flood and Coast is a three-day exhibition, held at Telford International Centre , and features a detailed programme of events, exhibitor stands, workshops, presentations, as well as debate and panel sessions. These all contribute to increasing the awareness to the flood and coast erosion risk, resilience and response to events that happen.
The event also hosts the Project Excellence Awards. These annual awards aim to recognise excellent projects developed or supported by local authorities, and the Environment Agency.
VBA was awarded the Project and Programme Delivery Award for Morecambe Wave Reflection Wall. The award recognises the outstanding efficiency of operational delivery and collaboration across several regions.
Morecambe Wave Reflection Wall was also shortlisted for a prestigious Construction News Award and is awaiting the outcome of the British Construction Industry Awards, in which the project was shortlisted in the Climate Resilience Project of the Year category.
