VolkerStevin achieves RoSPA Gold Award for health and safety practices
VolkerStevin has been awarded a prestigious RoSPA Gold Award in recognition of its health and safety performance throughout 2018.
This is the fifth consecutive year that VolkerStevin has achieved Gold in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running industry awards scheme in the UK. This is recognised by the presentation of the Gold Medal.
The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.
Key to VolkerStevin’s success is Safety Ripple – the health and safety behavioural change approach that recognises the positive influence everyone in the business can have on others by their own actions and behaviours.
Rob Coupe, managing director of VolkerStevin, said: “It is an honour to be awarded Gold in the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards. We are delighted that our comprehensive health and safety procedures have been recognised at this level internationally.
“At VolkerStevin, we understand that the creation of a safe workplace and workforce is achieved through clear, effective communication at all levels of the organisation. We have created an environment where everyone can – and wants to - contribute to safe working systems through active and open participation. This award is a testament to our staff and the training our HSEQS team has implemented. We look forward to building on these achievements in the future.”
Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said: “The RoSPA Awards have become the key fixture in the health and safety calendar. Highly-respected, with almost 2,000 entrants every year, RoSPA award winners benefit from the wide-ranging rewards of improved sector reputation.”
