VolkerWessels UK Win Four International Safety Awards

Two VolkerWessels UK businesses are celebrating this year, after receiving International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council.

Both VolkerFitzpatrick and VolkerHighways are pleased to announce that they have received four International Safety Awards from the British Safety Council.

VolkerFitzpatrick achieved a Distinction for its work on the A31 Ringwood Widening project and Merits for its Gosforth Depot and Haberdashers’ Boys’ School projects. VolkerHighways received its first Distinction status for demonstrating health and safety best practice on its Bath and North East Somerset Highways Term Maintenance contract.

Andrew Battye, health and safety director for VolkerFitzpatrick, said: “It is fantastic to receive this recognition of our commitment to safety across the business. The safety and wellbeing of everyone working on our behalf is of paramount importance to us, and these awards reflect our commitment and the significant achievements of the past year.”
