Our services include design and preconstruction support to assist with constructability and value engineering and early contractor involvement.

Site accommodation
VolkerSite Services supplies and installs a variety of site accommodation solutions nationwide. From a single unit to multi-storey open plan office and compound facilities, we offer a full turnkey service.
This includes design engineering support, installation, furniture, ICT and ancillary equipment, fencing and hoarding, security, cleaning services and total facilities management and maintenance.
Modular pontoons and marine plant
When access on, or adjacent to, water is required, VolkerMarine Services provides tailored engineering solutions using a variety of modularised pontoon systems and an extensive marine fleet. We have the largest for hire stock of LinkfloteTM and Uniflote modular pontoons in the UK, and we also provide plastic pontoons through partnership arrangements.
All our pontoon units are durable, lightweight and road transportable and can be quickly assembled to provide walkways, jetties, boat moorings, access and working platforms.
Horizontal directional drilling
VolkerTrenchless Solutions is a specialist in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD). HDD provides the answer when rivers, canals, nature reserves, roads, railways and existing cable and pipeline networks have to be crossed.
We offer an unrivalled team of in-house designers, project managers, geologists, engineers, drilling experts and equipment specialists, capable of executing the largest and most complex HDD projects. Thanks to our comprehensive knowledge of soil mechanics, materials and engineering, we can select the correct drilling method and apply this successfully in a broad range of ground conditions.
Street lighting
VolkerHighways provides long-term street lighting contracts for local authorities. We also deliver bespoke street lighting projects for private sector clients.
Our services include the design and installation of new lighting systems, mass LED upgrades, architectural and feature lighting and central management systems. We also provide electrical connection of CCTV, speed cameras and traffic enforcement systems.
Traffic management
VolkerHighways’ traffic management service provides solutions for public and private sector clients, working to NHSS 12 A/B and D, as well as supporting other VolkerWessels UK businesses.
We offer traffic management solutions that span the life of a project. Our services include traffic management design and planning, CAD design, full contraflow systems and full/part road/lane closures. We supply bespoke signage, temporary traffic signals, pedestrian management, TSCO/TSS services and provide 24-hour emergency call outs.
Electric vehicle charge points
VolkerSmart Technologies is a specialist in providing commercial and on-street electric vehicle charging solutions and smart infrastructure for the connected and sustainable communities of the future, having have already installed over 7,000 EV charging points across the UK.
We offer a full turnkey solution, providing integrated project management for sourcing, installing, and maintaining EV infrastructure, which is optimised to meet individual client requirements.
Slipform barrier and paving
P J Davidson (PJD) is a specialist in slipform concrete and provides slipform concrete barriers, slipform drainage products and pavement quality concrete.
PJD focuses on delivering Davidson's Concrete Barrier (DCB), slot drainage systems, surface water drainage systems, slipform high walls and retaining walls, tunnel invert slabs and walkways and CRCP - Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement.

Independent Connection Provider (ICP)
VolkerSmart Technologies is an accredited Independent Connection Provider (ICP). We carry out new connections to both metered and unmetered power sources, transfers and disconnections. We also lay new mains and mains extensions.
As a ‘one-stop shop’, we remove the need to wait for third party connections, making our service efficient and cost-effective for our clients.
