VolkerSmart Technologies has an ongoing collaborative relationship with Believ. The business is supporting Believ to give those without access to a driveway, the ability to charge their vehicle using on street chargers, close to their homes.

What we are doing
We are installing and maintaining on-street electric vehicle charging points, which are being installed within residential streets with signposted parking bays.
Locations include:
- Croydon
- Ealing
- Gosport
- Northamptonshire
- Redbridge
- Waltham Forest
- Wandsworth
The team is providing a maintenance service including routine and reactive maintenance, and yearly electrical inspections. This involves cleaning, inspecting and testing the feeder pillars, cleansing and decontaminating the charging cables and testing the power outlet and radiofrequency identification. The yearly tests ensure that the chargers are still safety compliant and certified.
To date, we have installed 1,330 EV charging points, across more than 200 sites
The team is providing an emergency callout service and is committed to getting the chargers back online within four to 24 hours, depending on the fault. This means the public can rely on our partnership for quality assurance and dependability.
