VolkerStevin are hiring! We are currently recruiting for the position of HSEQ Manager and what a fantastic opportunity this is!
The primary role of the HSEQ Manager is to ensure the Water Framework projects and buisness are compliant with legislation and company/framework procedures, and to support the Heads of Health & Safety, Environment & Quality and building positive relationships with client and Enterprise leadership team.
Provide support to the other HSEQ advisors, contract teams, be an active part of supporting of the behaviour change programmes, and support business development and continual improvement.
Ensure audits and inspections are completed in line with both the management system and client requirements, provide support to the contract teams and the wider business, be an active part of supporting key initiatives and supporting business development and continual improvement.
About you
- Relevant health & safety experience in Construction / Civil engineering
- NEBOSH Diploma for Occupational Health & Safety Management Professionals. (CMIOSH)
- Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice,
- Self-confidence to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
- Behavioural qualification/ formal awareness
- Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills
- Contribute to the review and revision of health & safety policies, plans, documented procedures and forms.
- ISO lead/internal auditor
- Lead accident / investigation and implementation, supporting project investigation to ensure timely investigation and implementation of effective improvement / preventive measures.
- Ability to manage other H&S team members and development.
- Provide business reports on KPI’s and attend meetings with clients and SLT.
- To provide assistance to Business Development for health & safety aspects, including pre-qualification questionnaires and tenders, etc.
- Leadership skills to promote and drive compliance and improvement in the H&S performance, systems and processes
