We have a new opportunity for a Learning and Development Manager to work on the Southern Renewals Enterprise.
The Learning and Development Manager will evolve our approach to skills and training across the SRE. This role is responsible for overseeing the SRE Induction, providing new starters with adequate training material to fulfil their role, our approach to Early Careers, and coordinating placements across the SRE. The Learning and Development Manager will also define the strategy for developing colleagues as they grow their careers within SRE.
This role will be within the SRE's People Function and report to the People & Transformation Director.
About you

Adaptable – Able to adjust strategies based on changing organisational needs and learning styles.
Focused on Continuous Improvement – Seeing the bigger picture, ensuring training materials remain relevant and ensuring the most efficient ways of upskilling our people.
Experience and knowledge:
Implementation of training initiatives - Thorough knowledge and experience in designing and implementing effective training material for diverse audiences.
Employee Onboarding - Experience overseeing an employee onboarding process and creating a streamlined approach to ensure a compelling experience for all new starters.
Coordinating Early Career Placements - Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of coordinating graduate and apprentice placements, i.e., matching individual preference to business need, implementing an effective onboarding and offboarding approach to each rotation, and monitoring progress.
EDI Awareness - Thorough knowledge of EDI principles to ensure implementation of inclusive training packages that address diverse learning requirements.
