The mission of the TRU East Alliance is to transform the East of Leeds route allowing people to travel faster, more reliably and in greater comfort between the North’s great cities. Providing passengers with more choice, more seats and better facilities on a safer, cleaner, more environmentally friendly railway.
The TRU East project is broken down into multiple overlapping projects. Project E1 which is currently in build and planned to complete in April 2025. With the remaining projects E2,3,4 and Shipley planned to complete in 2028. The project works include full new electrification between Leeds and York and include significant and complex renewals works at Neville Hill and Church Fenton. The works also include a new depot at Shipley, and line speed enhancement and Journey time improvement works along the route between Leeds and York.
We have a great opportunity for an OLE Fabricator to work on TRU East Alliance based at the Joseph Lynn Hub, Sherburn in Elmet.
You will be responsible for:
- Responsible for the building of OLE assemblies in accordance with the design.
- Delivery/collection of materials to and from site.
- Comply with company and rail industry specific standards as required.
- Responsible for the checking and loading of materials, vehicles, plant and equipment prior to and after any works are planned and delivered.
- Undertake the company’s Overhead Line Engineering (OLE) construction works as directed by the Senior Lineman and the programme of works.
- Build strong relationships in the team, with key stakeholders and clients to ensure no major problems arise.
- When required provide verbal and written reports on work site activities.
About you
- Previous and demonstrable experience in a similar role
- PTS competency
- A responsible attitude and high level of safety awareness
- Must have full UK driving licence
- Self motivated
- Ability to work in a team
- Be flexible in your approach and willing to work nights, weekends and bank holidays
