We are helping the UK move towards a zero-carbon and energy-secure future by connecting new offshore wind farms to the national grid and developing new nuclear power and hydrogen/carbon capture utilisation and storage infrastructure.
We have extensive specialist experience of managing the unique interfaces and programming considerations of designing, installing and commissioning vital energy infrastructure across the UK, including new capital projects and existing infrastructure upgrades. Much of this work is delivered by VolkerFitzpatrick, VolkerStevin and our specialist horizontal directional drilling (HDD) business, VolkerTrenchless Solutions.
We work with transmission and distribution network operators and energy developers to enhance the UK's energy infrastructure, focusing on civil engineering works that support onshore EHV cable installation and HDD for landfall and onshore projects.
The scale and diversity of our construction expertise is also vital in supporting the country’s decarbonisation goals through offshore wind, new nuclear, and emerging markets such as hydrogen and CCUS.
