VolkerGround Engineering shortlisted for two Ground Engineering Awards

These prestigious awards celebrate outstanding achievements across projects, people, and businesses in ground engineering, bringing together industry leaders from across the sector.

VolkerGround Engineering has been shortlisted for an award in the UK Project with a Geotechnical Value of up to £500k category, for the work the team carried out at Rother Tidal Walls – East. This project demonstrated a collaborative and resourceful approach when faced with challenges, such as narrow site access and constrained working widths, during piling along the embankment. The team used a spider excavator to overcome these challenges, it also removed the need for substantial temporary works. VolkerGround Engineering has also been shortlisted in the UK Project with a Geotechnical Value of between £1M and £3M category. This shortlist recognises the critical role the team played in the construction of the New Wear High-Level Footbridge, overcoming significant geotechnical challenges, including sloping terrain and limited access.
