Award success at annual Platinum Awards
VolkerTrenchless Solutions (VTS) Arran to Carradale HDD landfall project has won Project of the Year up to £10m at the VolkerWessels UK eleventh annual Platinum Awards ceremony, held at the UnderGlobe in London last week.
The awards brought together over 70 finalists, to recognise great projects, talented individuals and dedicated teams from across the business and all around the country, to celebrate their successes and contributions to the business during 2023.
The projectformed part of Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) ED1 Cable Replacement Scheme which involved installing a 400mm diameter and 436 long duct to allow a subsea cable to be pulled onshore to connect the Isle of Arran to the mainland electricity grid, replacing the existing faulting subsea interconnector.
During the project, the VTS team went above and beyond engaging, supporting and investing in the local community. This included supporting local events and businesses as well showcasing the works being undertaken through community talks.
